Meet the Team
Matt is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Emit Capital, with over 25 years of experience across global equities, climate finance, and power markets. He has worked closely with international investors, utilities, and project developers across renewable energy and low-emissions technologies, developing deep expertise in electricity markets and grid dynamics. As CIO, he has built Emit Capital into a high-conviction investment manager focused on AI infrastructure, clean energy, and critical grid technologies, combining disciplined portfolio construction with forward-looking research to deliver strong, risk-adjusted returns.
Roger is a funds management executive with over 20 years of experience across leading investment firms. Formerly Head of Global Equities and Investment Strategy & Research at Vanguard Australia, he led portfolio management teams overseeing more than AUD 40 billion in assets. He is a highly experienced quantitative analyst and portfolio manager, specialising in stock analysis, portfolio construction, and risk management, and is actively involved in advancing industry knowledge through Q-Group Australia and academic engagement.
Craig is a senior business executive with over 27 years of experience in marketing, communications, and operations. At Emit Capital, he oversees the firm's operations and strategic positioning, supporting the development and communication of its investment strategies and core themes. He has held leadership roles across multiple industries, including environmental initiatives, and contributes to industry collaboration through his involvement with the Design Business Council and Design Yak, as well as advisory roles across a range of organisations.
Yanchen is an analyst at Emit Capital with a strong foundation in finance, economics, and artificial intelligence. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Economics) and a Master of IT (Artificial Intelligence) from the University of Melbourne. At Emit Capital, he applies analytical and computational techniques to support portfolio management, contributing to research, data analysis, and investment insights across global equities, with a particular focus on AI-driven opportunities and the energy transition.
Sudipta is an experienced investment professional with over 15 years of experience across domestic and global equities, complemented by a background in unlisted markets, mergers and acquisitions, and strategy. In her previous role at Grok Ventures, she conducted in-depth research across key global themes including decarbonisation, impact investing, and supply chains. Sudipta brings strong analytical and strategic expertise, with a focus on energy technology, infrastructure, and global structural trends, contributing high-conviction insights that support the firm's investment approach and thematic positioning.
